ABOUT ME

Experienced counsellor & BACP Registered Member.

I provide long and short term therapy for individuals in Bristol and surrounding areas. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and I abide by their code of ethics.

Before completing my training in counselling, I worked in the mental health field for 12 years. I have worked for various charitable organisations such as, Bristol Drug's Project, Knowle West Drug & Alcohol Service and St Mungo's. I had various roles within these organisations, all of which involved one to one and group work with clients who were struggling with various mental health difficulties.

In 2008 I decided to train as a counsellor & I undertook my training at UWE, in Bristol. Whilst I enjoyed my roles as a support worker within the mental health field, I often felt quite restricted & limited in terms of the depth of support that I was able to provide. I had a desire to work more in depth with clients, in a structured way. So training as a counsellor felt like a natural step for me to take.

After qualifying in 2011 I set up my counselling service which is based in Horfield, Bristol. Initially my private practice was limited to a couple of evenings a week, as I was also doing some community support work for Bristol Drugs Project. In 2013, as demand for counselling continued to grow, I decided to take a big jump into the unknown & I became fully self-employed so that I could dedicate time to growing my private practice.

I have experience of working with a wide range of issues, such as;

My qualifications;
